Obituary of Laurie Stockwell

Stockwell, Laurie Passed away at the Dr. Y. Emara Centre For Healthy Aging and Mobility peacefully on Saturday May 4th, 2019 at the age of 74 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Galli) for over 50 years. Loving father of Sharon Rogers (Late Bill, 2018), Christine Dame (Michael) and Patricia Keca (Jovan). Cherished Pepaw of Billy, Brooke, Blake, Stone, Marlah, Luka and Sofia. Predeceased by his parents Garnet and Ruth Stockwell. Dear brother of Susan Hutton (Greg) and brother in law of Bob (late Mary Anne), Gary (late Roxanne), Jean (Mike) and Esther. Sadly missed by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Laurie was a supervisor at HDH Histology for many years. He was the first male graduate of the Med Lab Program at HDH. Laurie spent many winters as the off season manager at Huron Church Camp and was a volunteer firefighter with Gosfield North & Pensacola Florida. Special thanks to Banwell Gardens especially the PSW’s, Palliative Care at Y Emara Centre, and especially to Dr. Roxanne Chow, Dr. Chand and Dr. Aoun for their support and guidance. Donations to Parkinson Society South Western Ontario and Transition 2 Betterness would be appreciated by the family. Funeral Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Banwell) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, May 7th, from 2-5 & 7-9 pm and after 10 am on Wednesday May 8th until time of Funeral Service at 11am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
