LUKIC, Ana (nee Bekavac) Born on December 1st, 1936 in Lovrec, Croatia. It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Ana, at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare, Palliative Care, on March 25, 2019 at 82 years of age, after putting up an incredible effort to stay with us. Predeceased by her husband Ivan (1992) and her cherished son Jozo "Joe" (2007). Daughter of the late Toma and Ana Bekavac of Croatia. Cherished Mother "Majka" of Luka (Leslie), Marijana (Marianne), and mother in-law to Chris. VERY loved and cherished Baba to Megan, Emma, Olivia and Nicholas. Ana will always be remembered by those that knew her for her incredible spirit, great sense of humour, infectious smile, unlimited kindness and generosity!! She had an incredible love for her Husband Ivan, her 3 children and her 4 Grandchildren. Ana was an avid and 'MAGICAL' gardener…there was nothing that would not grow with her incredible hands and talent, and love of her vegetable and flower gardens. Many people driving by her house would stop to look at and admire her beautiful Gardens!! Outside of her gardening, Ana's incredible LOVE of cooking was something that was NOT work for her, but pure ENJOYMENT!! She relished cooking… but her LOVE of feeding EVERYONE at any time was her LIFE MISSION!! There were many of us that experienced her cooking and baking at the Croatian Centre for many years!! Ana worked for many years at Green Giant with her dear friends (Filomena,Peppa, Stanka etc) They all worked very hard and helped each other, and made sure to LAUGH as much as possible!! She retired from Quality Safety Systems after many years of dedicated service. Ana was a VERY proud member of the wonderful Windsor Croatian Community and St Francis of Assisi Church.
