Obituary of Walter Bachynsky

BACHYNSKY, Walter Passed away peacefully March 10, 2019 at the age of 96 years. Beloved husband of Maria (nee Kutchma). Father to Mary (Dr. George) Zahrebelny and Richard (Jennifer) Bachynsky. Cherished grandfather to Andre, Christina (Matt) Lejkowski, Vanessa, Erik, Laura, Daniel, Chrystopher and Katlyn. Great grandfather to Mathew, Isabella and Alazander. Walter retired from Chrysler’s and dedicated much of his time as owner of apartments in Windsor. He was a strong supporter of Ukrainian organizations including UNF, CYM and Prosvita Windsor. Born in Yasenytsya Silna, Galicia, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, he continued to support his family and relatives in the Ukraine. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E 519-253-7234 on Thursday March 14, 2019 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Panakhyda at 7:30pm. Visitation to continue on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir & Olga Byzantine Catholic Church (601 Lake Trail Dr.) with a Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Rt. Rev. Fr. Tom Hrywna officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to Sts. Vladimir and Olga Byzantine Catholic Church would be appreciated.
