Obituary of Steven Aubin

Passed away tragically on February 5, 2019 at the young age of 18 years. Steven was the loving son of Jacques and Alma (nee Hannon) Aubin. Dearest brother to Coty & wife Sarah, Nathan, Jacques Jr., and Kiara. The best uncle to Jade and Jonathan, and Arianna. Cherished grandson of Freeman and Irma Aubin, and Louise and the late Don Hannon. Godson and nephew of Suzanne Aubin and Marcel Rioux. Loving nephew to Tim and wife Danielle Aubin, Frances and husband Guy Assogna, Hazel and husband Gary Topps, Malcolm and wife Janette Barclay, Ed and wife Kathy Plant, Trudy and husband Karl Lange, Pearl and late husband Jimmy Barclay, and Lovilo Barclay and girls, Crystal and husband Jay Goddard, plus many more. Steven will be sadly missed by all of his cousins but especially his closest ones that were like siblings; Nicole Assogna and fiancé Jamie Simpson, Daniella and husband Chino Cervantes, Jessica Gawthorn and fiancé Mike Masciale, Denis Rioux, Shawn Rioux, Josh Rioux and little cousins; Fenyx, Olivia, Mileena Aubin, Lily Masciale and baby Landon Simpson. Steven will be sadly missed and remembered by his girlfriend, Jaida St Dennis and best friend Quinton. Steven was a 2018 graduate of école secondaire catholique L’Essor. For years, he was proud to work at his father’s side, J-A & Sons Drywall. He was well known for his kind heart, jokes and always wanted to make sure everyone was happy around him. Always there to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He wore his heart on his sleeve and loved to be in the presence of his family and friends. The family would like to extend out a very sincere thank you in the efforts to take care of Steven; to the OPP Officer who came upon the accident scene, the Rescue Team and EMS workers, WRH – Ouellette trauma team, and Henry Ford Hospital Detroit trauma team. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave 519.253.7234 on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 1 to 3pm and 6 to 9pm, Funeral Service to be held on Tuesday at 3:00pm in the Chapel. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to Steven’s aunt’s cancer treatment in c/o Jacques Aubin.
