Obituary of Milka Fister

FISTER, Milka (nee Korosec) Passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019 at Extendicare Tecumseh Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Stanley. Loving mother of Millie Beety (Robert), Stanley, Roman (1997), Edward (1996), John (Elizabeth) and Daniel (Patrizia). Cherished Nana of Melissa, Amanda, Jessica, Jeremy, Katelyn, Ryan, Colin, Emily, Mitchell, Austin, Tristan, and Adored Great Nana of Abigail, Nathaniel, Luca, Matteo and Dominic. Milka is 1 of 10 children and was the last surviving sibling, she was most close to her siblings Frances, Ladislava and Stanley (Vida) as they lived in Windsor. Survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Slovenia. Milka was a member of the YMCA, where at the age of 60 she had learned to swim, and took part in Aquafit classes. She was a social butterfly who loved shopping and cooking. A very special thank you to all the staff at Extendicare for their dedicated love and compassion in taking care of Mom. Visiting will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7234 on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 2-5 p.m and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Further visiting will take place at Most Precious Blood Parish on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
