Obituary of Donald Boyer

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the age of 88. Born in Hines Creek, Alberta to parents Elie and Mary Boyarchuk. Predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce (2017), with whom he shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Cherished father to Douglas (Cathy) and David (Robin). Loving grandfather to Chelsea, Andrea, Caroline (Greg), Lorraine and Thomas. Proud great-grandfather of Quinn, Hanna, Lane and Evan. Don grew up in Windsor and attended the University of Toronto for his medical training. He practiced anaesthesia at the former Metropolitan and Hotel-Dieu Hospitals for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed curling, gardening, playing bridge and travelled extensively in his much-adored motor-home. He could also make or fix just about anything. Special thanks to Aspen Lake Nursing Home and to the Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus for their exceptional care.
