Obituary of Giuseppe Pipitone

PIPITONE, GiuseppePassed away peacefully on September 19, 2018 at 84 years of age. Giuseppe was born in Alcamo, Sicily to Ignazio and Elenora (nee Palmeri) Pipitone. Loving and devoted husband to Francesca (nee Vesco) for 60 years. Dear father of Ignazio (Mary) Vito (Sara), beloved Nonno to Rachel (nee Pipitone) and Jamie Stewart, Alex, Joseph, Michael (Melanie), Vincent and Ricardo. Brother of the late Antonio Pipitone and Sebastiano Pipitone. Giuseppe leaves behind his brother Jimmy Pipitone, sister-in-laws Gaetana, Giovanna and Francesca. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Giuseppe retired from Chrysler after 33 years of dedicated service. He was also a long time member of the Caboto Club of Windsor. Giuseppe loved being in his garden, making wine, spending his afternoons drinking coffee on Erie Street and spending time with his family, friends and neighbors that were like family. His unconditional love, humour, wisdom and kindness will be missed by many. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave.) for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation of Windsor.Online condolences may be left at www.windsorchapel.com.
