Obituary of Vytautas Pliskevicius

PLISKEVICIUS, Vytautas (Vytas)October 24, 1948 " September 17, 2018Our kind, gentle, and loving dad soared peacefully into the arms of his soulmate and wife Donna (2013) and treasured daughter Kristina (2013) Pliskevicius on September 17, 2018 at 69 years of age. Vytas will be lovingly remembered by his children Algis Pliskevicius (Nikki Little) and Julija (Chris) Lackner. Vytas will forever be cherished by his grandchildren Milanija and Makalija Lackner and Stanley Diemer whom he loved and spoiled every chance he could. Dear father in-law to Jeffrey Rivait. Vytas is predeceased by his parents Marta and Algirdas Pliskevicius, mother in law Birute Kozulis (2012) and is survived by his father in law, Antanas Kozulis. Vytas will be sadly missed by his brothers and best buds Peter (Lynda) Pliskevicius and Johnny (Cathy) Pliskevicius and his brother in law Romas (Nancy) Kozulis. Vytas is now reunited with his sister Birute Ellul (2004) and brother Algis (Shorty) Pliskevicius (2009). Vytas will never be forgotten by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends of Hamilton, Windsor-Essex and England. Before retiring, Vytas was a devoted Health and Safety Coordinator and Union Steward for the City of Windsor. While in Hamilton, he drove bus for the Hamilton Street Railway Company. Vytas was an avid boater, and outdoorsman who loved to take road trips and spend time up north at the cottage. He loved every minute watching and playing with his grandchildren. Vytas was a hard-working, fun-loving man who devoted his life to his family and friends. He made our lives sparkle with happiness and glisten with laughter. We are so lucky to have known him and even luckier to have been loved by him. A special thank you to Dr. Chow and the nurses of 8 east and the ICU for their comforting care. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (CENTRAL CHAPEL ) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Friday September 21, 2018 from 10am until time of funeral Service at 12 noon in the Chapel.
