Obituary of Shirley Ann Marion (nee Snively-Doyle)

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley in her 80th year on September 2, 2018 with her loving daughter at her side. Reunited with her loving daughter Linda (d. 1985). Cherished Mother of Mark and Jodi Doyle (Ryan Gould). Adored Grandma of Sierra, Jada Lin, Connor, Lesley and Vanessa. Special friend of John Strahl for 30 years. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Edna Snively and brothers Ed and Sam Snively. Shirley was a dedicated Health Care Aid at Tilbury and Brouilliette Manor for many years. She was a member of the RCL Branch 143, The Pepper Card Club and an avid bowler where she made many wonderful friendships. Above all, her true passion was for arts and crafts which she loved to share with others. Shirley survived many health issues along the way, from double by-pass at 50, to breast cancer in 2015. In January 2018, she was diagnosed with colon cancer which spread to her liver and was not survivable. In the end, she always remained hopeful and determined. This truly defined the strong willed and kind-hearted person she was. A special thank you to neighbors Anita and Chad, Applebee"s Staff " Huron Church Rd., C.C.A.C. and RN Paula, Dr. McKindie, Dr. Freeman and the nursing staff at Dr. Y. Emara Centre for your care and compassion given to Shirley and her family. To our family and friends, though Mom became distant during her later years, she loved you all but always struggled to see those she loved go before her. Visitation will be held at Windsor Christian Fellowship (4490 Seventh Concession Rd.) on Friday September 7, 2018 from 9:30 am. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue. 519-253-7234. Mom, our love for you does not end with your death. Until we meet again"..
