Obituary of Mike Kelic

KELIC, Mike Jr. It is with heavy and broken hearts that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our Mike, a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend on July 15, 2018 at the age of 46. Mike is the loving and devoted Tata to his one and only daughter, Vanessa Kelic, and her mother Lydia Kelic-Derbyshire. He is the cherished eldest son to parents, Mike and Ana Kelic. Loving companion to Tanya Basic. Beloved and treasured brother to Linda Varjacic (George) and Robert Kelic (Nicole). Adored uncle to Nikolas and Samantha Varjacic. Mike will be forever remembered and loved by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, kumovi and friends. He truly loved his family with all of his heart, but his greatest pride and joy in life was being the proud father to his precious daughter Vanessa. Mike was employed as a Quality Engineer at TRQSS with many years of dedicated service, and he will be sadly missed by his many co-workers. A true and avid sports fan, Mike was very passionate about his Chicago Bears, Chicago Black Hawks and the Croatian National Soccer team. Mike was very proud of his deep rooted Croatian heritage and his membership with St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church in Windsor and Knights of Columbus, Kardinal A. Stepinac Council #11774. The Kelic family wish to express their sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all the emergency first responders of the Lakeshore O.P.P., Fire Service and E.M.S for their valiant and heroic efforts. E. 519.253.7234 on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Knights of Columbus prayers Friday at 7:45 p.m. followed by Parish prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church (1701 Turner Rd., Windsor) for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Mike"s life, memorial donations may be made to an Educational Trust Fund for Vanessa Kelic.
