Obituary of Amos Angelo Abati

ABATI, AmosBorn in Cortile San Martino, Parma, Italy on June 2, 1929 and passed away peacefully on his 89th birthday with family at his side. Devoted husband of Maria (nee Rosi) 10 days shy of their 63rd anniversary. Beloved father to his two sons Piercarlo (Nancy) and Giovanni. Loving grandfather to Cristof, Alene, and Amos. Dear son of the late Giovanni Abati and Noemi Ricci and stepmother Piera. Son-in-law to the late Carlo Rosi and Pierina Maini. Dear brother to Franca (Gino Camellini) and brother-in-law to Maria Abbati. Predeceased by sister Maria (Renzo Guareschi), brothers; Iones Abbati, Eros Abati (Rina), Bruno Abati and brother-in-law Luigi Rosi (Marisa). Predeceased by niece Mirka Kacso (nee Abbati), sadly missed by nieces and nephews in Italy & Canada: Mario, Fabrizio, Simonetta, Hedy, Alessandra and Riccardo. Amos immigrated to Canada in 1962 working as an Auto Body Repairman with Border City Collison and Riverside Custom Collision until his retirement in 1994.Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral Services on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 10:15 am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.At the family"s request, instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County or Transition to Betterness.
