Obituary of Luisa Chiodo

CHIODO, Luisa (nee Perrone)Born December 28, 1931 Motta St. Lucia, Italy passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 13, 2018 at 86 years of age. Reunited with her loving husband Goffredo of 64 years (Jan 23, 2014). Loving mother to Angela Rosa Boccarossa (Donato), Felicetta Zanella (Feb 17, 2011) survived by (Elio), Trisa Villella (Antonio), Felice Chiodo (Daniela), Dino Chiodo (Deborah). Cherished Nonna to Luisa (Richard), Renata, Nadia (Norman), Tania (Rick), Gerardo (Rachel), Lora (Virginio), Daniele (Jen), Rosalind, Jennifer (Brad), Massimo and Brooklynn. Cara Bis-nonna to Chelsea (Justin), Landon, Sabrina, Patrick, Erica, Bianca, Alex, Dante, Cora, Alannah, Elizabeth, Hayden, Madison, Shyanne, Shay, Andrew, Dylan and Rhys. Predeceased by her parents Carmine and Angela Rosa Perrone. Loving sister of Edvige Amante (late Antonio), late Elvira Gigliotti (Frank), Ersilia Gri (Vincenzo), late Maria (1940) , late Maria (1963), Eddy (Ruth Ann), late Paul (Loretta), Tony (Laurie), late Frank . Also survived by many sisters & brothers in-law , nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Italy, Canada, Argentina and USA. Luisa will be missed by all that knew her. Her love, empathy, generosity and the support she provided to family and friends was unconditional and endless. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Tuesday May15, 2018 from 6 to 9pm and Wednesday May 16, 2018 from 1 to 4pm & 6 to 9pm. Parish Prayers Wednesday at 8pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday May 17, 2018 at 10am from the Banwell Chapel then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral Mass at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. We would like to thank Hospice for all their hard work and dedication in fullfilling Moms wish to finish her journey in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and friends. In memory of Luisa, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor. Special thanks to Dr V. Maraj, palliative doctors, nursing staff at Met Hospital, Glen, Ruth, Chelsea, Luisa and all the PSW's, RPN`s and RN`s who helped her in her time of need.
