Obituary of Lina Covello Aka Covelli

Passed away on March 9, 2018 while lovingly surrounded by her family, Lina was welcomed into the arms of God. She is reunited with her faithful husband and companion of 60 years, Giuseppe. Dear mother of Rosa and husband Luciano Bachetti; Leonardo and wife Claudette Covelli; and Tony and wife Connie Covelli. Cherished "Nonna Lina" of Elisa and husband Brian Houston, Angela Bachetti; and Joseph, Johnathan and Joshua Covelli. Bis Nonna of Nadia, Sophia and Luca. Loving sister and sister-in-law of the late Chiara and Saverio Occhinero; late Agata and the late Carmine Covelli; Carmela and the late Salvatore Covelli; late Teresa and the late Vincenzo Pugliese, and late Emma and Luigi Covelli. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as relatives both surviving and pre-deceased, in Italy. Lina worked for many years in the family business, La Stella Supermarket on Erie St., East, alongside her late brother, the late Mr. Vincenzo Pugliese. She loved her family with every beat of her very strong heart. Her memory will live on in her devotion to her family, and the ability to touch the hearts of everyone she met. The family of Mrs. Covelli extends thanks to the late Toni Mascarin who became a very dear friend and companion of Lina, the many Doctors, Nurses and other care givers for their genuine care and compassion. Visiting will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East, 519-253-7234 on Sunday March 11, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service Monday March 12, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
