Obituary of Cecilia Wilhelmina Donnelly

DONNELLY, Cecilia Wilhelmina (nee BAKKER), died peacefully at home with family by her side on February 19, 2018, in her 78th year. Born in Noordwijkerhout, Netherlands, and raised in Amsterdam before coming to Canada in 1957. She joins in heaven her late husband, Patrick Donnelly (2011) and is survived by her children James, William & wife Shelley (nee Fyfe), Jacqueline, Dale Heywood and grandchildren Alec and Erin. Predeceased by her parents Engelbertus (1996) and Klara (Schulte-1992). Greeting her arrival in heaven are her sister Ann (2007) (the late Joe Mayenburg, 2016)), and brothers Engelbert (2012) and Wilhelm (2005). Survived by sisters Dora (the late Nico deVre, 1992), Riet (the late Gus Meursing), brothers John (Mary), Frank (Anne) and Simon (Jo). Cecilia will also be missed by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and other family. She retired from Ade"s Meat Market after 20+ years. A celebration of Cecilia"s life will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Central Chapel) 253-7234 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, February 22 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday February 23, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m at Immaculate Heart Parish (2153 Parkwood). Cremation to follow with interment at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windsor Humane Society.
