Obituary of Rita Lucy Forton

A loving mother that will be sadly missed, a month away from her 95th birthday and lived on Moy Avenue for the past 67 years. Reunited with her husband, Edmond. Beloved daughter to the late Lucy and Desiree Gemus. Loving mother to Michelle and Rick, Joseph, Rachelle and Denise. Proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Sister to the late Lionel, the late Lou, the late Jeanne, the late Gerald, Yvonne, Theresa, and Pauline. Rita was part of making rosaries for the poor for 35 years with Gail and Maria. Rita was a leader of the Catholic Charismatic Movement. She enjoyed planning trips to Medgerore, where Mother Mary appeared. She was part of Catholic Women"s League at Sacred Heart Church. Rita was truly a saint to many elderly in their time of need. A special thank you to Rita"s Earth Angels, Gail Harper, Mrs. Gava, Norma, Linda, Christine, Bayshore Nurses, CCAS and Hospice of Windsor. Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road, East 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 2:00 pm " 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm " 9:00 pm. Parish prayers to take place at 7:30p.m. A Funeral Service will held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 9:45 am from the funeral home then going to St. Michael"s (German) Church, 2153 Parkwood Avenue, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
