Obituary of William Henry Schaefer

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 11, 2017 just shy of his 100th birthday. Reunited with his beloved wife Mary (nee Clotens, 1996), and dear daughter Karen and husband Wayne White. Proud grandfather to Kathy White, Kirk and Julie White, and Kevin White. Cherished great grandfather to Savannah; Jack; Jacob and Jayla. Bill is survived by his sister in law Doris Weitzel and is predeceased by his sister Irma Darroch (Don), brothers Lorne Schaefer (Doris) and Wilfred "Mike" Weitzel. Bill will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was a dedicated employee of Chrysler for 36 years, and has been retired for over 40 years. Bill also was a proud veteran of World War II, serving with the 30th Reconnaissance. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Friday November 17, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Family and friends are invited to join at Peace Lutheran Church (1895 Rossini Rd.) on Saturday November 18, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow.
