The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff at Riverside Place for taking such great care of our dad for many months and for making his last days comfortable. Also thank you to Dr. Paul Loebach for his care and concern. Romeo was a devoted husband for 64 years and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his great stories of his childhood, working as a cook at the Parliament buildings and making lunches for Prime Minister Mackenzie King in Ottawa. His greatest moment was competing in a stick-handling race along with his brother G"rald against the Great Rocket Richard and Leo Lamoureux of the Montreal Canadiens in 1945. Hence, no one could touch the Rocket! Romeo and G"rald also opened the Riverside Arena with their Barrel Jumping exhibition. His gift of faith has been passed on to his children and grandchildren. His devilish laugh, harmonica music, and loving nature will never be forgotten by all who knew him.
