Obituary of Theresa May Pare

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa May Par", our "Little Rose", on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at the age of 90. Waiting with open arms in Heaven for many years is her beloved husband Arthur Louis Par" (1983) and dear eldest daughter Monica Par" (2016). Cherished mother to Denise Par"-Watson and husband Harold of Kelowna, BC; Yvonne Phillion and husband Robert of Victoria, BC; Deanne Spivey and husband Brian of Burford, ON and Anne Marie Par", of Colchester, ON. Proud grandmother to Erin, Meredith, Jennifer, Jordan, Jim, Thomas, Dan, Sarah, Meghan, Hayley and great grandmother "Gran-Gran" to Christopher, Taylor, Liam, Oliver, Thomas, Gabriel, Jamie and Cienna. Dear sister to Rose (the late Leo) Croteau, Cecile (Frank) Par" and the late Eugene (the late Shirley) Desjardins and Blanche Bastien. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family, especially Robert Roy and family, who had a special place in Theresa"s heart. Theresa was a long time employee of Sportex Sportswear. As a gifted seamstress, her talented hands crafted beautiful quilts that were lovingly made for many of her loved ones to cherish for many years. Her devotion and faith allowed her to meticulously create hundreds of rosaries that she was able to send overseas for others to enjoy. Theresa had an open door policy, and would welcome anyone into her home for a cup of tea, tasty treat and a game of Skip-Bo. Theresa was kind, caring and had a heart of gold. She may have been small, but her will and determination were mighty. She was a member of St. Mary"s Catholic Church with whom she shared a treasured connection of faith and friendships, especially Fr. Moe Charbonneau. Your smile, kindness, spiritual connection and gift of song gave strength and courage to "Your little Rose" during her moments of sadness and loss. We are forever grateful The kind and caring community of neighbours and friends, especially Doug and Margaret Mailloux, Marie Hebert, Theresa Tetzlaff and Kolleen Fuerth, who helped to keep her in the home she loved for over 53 years, no words of expression can thank you enough. Theresa"s family would like to extend a special thank you to WRH-Metropolitan campus, Drs. McFarlane Sr. and Jr., Dr. Kadri, Dr. Jamour, and nurses Dawn, Eric, Kaitlin and all of the other wonderful nurses and staff in the Cardiology Ward for all of their special care and compassion.
