Obituary of Norman Joseph Meloche

MELOCHE, Norman Joseph, died peacefully at the age of 83 at the Hospice of Windsor Essex County on September 27, 2017 surrounded by his family. Beloved son of the late Raymond (1990) and Alma (nee Hamel, 1949). Cherished husband and best friend of Rita Meloche (nee Deschamps) for over 61yrs. Loving father of Alphonse, Mary Ann Mertens (Julian), Audrey (1970), Denise Romanovich (William), Mark (Julie) and Gregory (Christine). Beloved Pip to Aaron (2001), Leya Foster (Joseph), Kelly Lawrenson (Jeff), Tina Poisson (Shane), Rory Romanovich, Mathew (Stacey Meloche-Trealout), Celena Broll (Benjamin), Spencer and Ethan. Great-Grand Pip to Jaide, Alicia, Logan, Lucas, Elliott, Lukas, Jackson and Miles. Dear brother to Paul (2011) (Marjorie), Rene (1997) (Donna, 2007), Eugene (2003) (Tina), Helen (2004) (Paul, 2001), Frederick (Patricia), Marguerite (Thomas, 2013), Rosemarie (2010) (August), Judy (2011) (Joseph, 2013), Leonard (Mary) and Suzanne (Leo). Son-in-law of Jules (1971) and Rose Alma (1995). Brother-in-law to Henri (2009) (Lillian, 1995), Louis (1988) (Velma), Joseph (2006) (Jaqueline, 2013), Irene (Joseph), Lawrence (1982) (Janet, 2014), Adrienne (1949), Jules (2001) (Betty), Marie (2002) (Steve), Harve (2001) (Rosemay), Roger (1965) and Maurice (Sandra). Favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Hospice, CCAC, Bayshore and St. Elizabeth. Norman was an honourary member of the Knights of Columbus (Council #2844), past Eucharistic Minister at St. Clement Parish and past President of the Holy Name Society, a Chrysler employee for over 29yrs (transportation department), boys baseball coach, carpenter, butcher and all around charitable person. As per Norman`s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at St. Clement Church in McGregor on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 10am until time of Memorial Mass at 11am. Burial to follow at St. Clement Cemetery. In kindness, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor Essex County.
