Obituary of Sheldon MacDonald

Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on September 2, 2017 at the age of 81 years. Loving husband of 41 years to Elizabeth "Gaye". Dearest father of Sheldon Jr. (Lynn), Sandy Bondy, Terry (Darlene), Arlene (Randy) and the late Michael (1960). Cherished grandfather of Lori, Raynell, Brian, Delaina, Michael, Chelsey, and Sarah. Adored great-grandfather of 13. Survived by his siblings, Jerry MacDonald, Lucella (Wayne) Derbyshire, Matty Ferguson, Anna (Bobby) Dearing and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother, Sarah Doliena MacDonald and step-father, Russel Ferguson. Sheldon will be forever missed by his furry companion, Pugsley. He will be sadly missed by his McDonald"s coffee gang, especially Bob Holden, his neighbours, Irene Papadimitrio and family, and the karaoke gang of Hook & Ladder. Sheldon left behind his legacy of karaoke songs on the website ww.singsnap.com, under the name "macblueeyes". Retired after 36 years of working for Chrysler. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of WRH- Ouellette Campus floors 2N and 7E, especially Dr. Aoun, Hospice, VON, CCAC, and St. Elizabeth"s, especially RN Lisa, and PSWs Brad and Craig. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Sheldon will return to his hometown of Glace Bay in Cape Breton Island, N.S. for burial.
