Obituary of George Flay

FLAY, George August 21, 1943 - January 11, 2020 Passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on January 11th, 2020 at the age of 76. Loving husband and best friend of Sheila Flay (nee O'Keefe) for 53 years. Dear father of David (Maria) and Stephen (Katie). Most beloved and cherished grandad to Michael & Katelin, Harry & Ruby Flay and step-grandad to Salvo & Luca Monaco. Lovingly remembered by Linda Flay. Reunited with his parents William and Dorothy Flay. George will be missed by his brother Kenny (Margaret) and sister Dorothy (Martyn) of England. George and his family immigrated to Canada from Liverpool, England in 1976. He was a retired and dedicated employee of General Motors/General Dynamics for 30 years. He will be deeply missed by many friends and family members who have had the pleasure of knowing this kind, selfless and genuine man. George loved spending time with his children and he was Liverpool Football Clubs biggest fan. George, you will always be lovingly remembered and "You will never walk alone." Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL(Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519.253.7234) on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 3-5p.m. and 7-9p.m. Funeral Services on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:30a.m. in the Chapel. Cremation to follow.
