Obituary of Antonia Bavetta

February 19, 1928 " August 13, 2017 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nonna, Zia and friend at home, surrounded by the love of her family. Reunited with her loving husband, Vincenzo (2007). Devoted mother to Vince, Virginia (Jeff) Beqaj, and Guy. Cherished Nonna to Alana (Francesco), Adrian (Jocelyn) and Julia (Calvin). Loved sister to Giacomo (Ninfa) Luppino. Predeceased by her parents, Gaetano and Paola Luppino, and sisters, Paola, Angela, Dorotea, Leonarda, and brothers-in-law, and baby Francesca. Our mom was special to each of her extended family members and will be missed by her sisters-in-law, cousins, and many nieces and nephews both in Canada, USA and Italy. Antonia was a wonderful mother and Nonna. Her greatest joy was cooking Sunday dinners for her family and guests. She would often travel to Florida, and to Italy to visit her family, and kept in touch throughout the years. She taught us the love of family, caring, gardening and cooking. Our mom left us a legacy of love that we will continue. A special thank you to the staff at WRH " Met Campus ICU, the staff at Hotel Dieu, especially Dr. Roxanna Chow, and CCAC and staff for their care and compassion for our mother. Your care and support will never be forgotten. Visitation to be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Road, East (519-253-7234) on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 2:00 pm " 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm " 9:00 pm. Parish prayers to take place at 4:30 pm. A Chapel Service will take place in the funeral home on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
