Obituary of Brian Ross Keown

Keown, BrianWednesday, May 17, 2017Suddenly at the age of 69, gone to be with our Lord and Savior, his parents and his siblings. Beloved husband and lifelong companion to Barbara "Bobbie" (nee Roy). Cherished father to Brian James "Jay" Keown (Vera) and Wendy Jean Keown. Proud grandfather of Rory Keown. Predeceased by parents Ross and Jean Keown, sisters Gayle Searles and Sandra Martin. He was an avid guitar player since the age of 8 while growing up in Hawk Junction, north of Wawa, Ontario. Brian really loved to sing, and after he retired to Windsor from Winnipeg in 2012, he became a member of the contemporary choir at Ste. Anne"s Parish. Brian and Barb were active members of the ballroom dance community since 1998. Brian appreciated all animals and always took the time to give a loving pat or a scratch to every passing dog. He also enjoyed the unique birds in Florida where he and Barb spent the last six winters since retirement. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East 519-253-7234 on Friday May 26, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Mass at Ste. Anne"s Parish, 12233 Tecumseh Rd. East at 11:30am. Cremation to follow.
