Obituary of Anton Matz

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the age of 86 years. Tony will be reunited with his late wife, Zenia (2000) of 46 years.Dear father of Terry and wife Mary Ann, Brian and wife Shelly, Carla and husband Jeff, and the late Barbara Ann. Adored grandfather of Derek, Melissa (Kevin), Jason, Caitlyn, Rachael, Zoe, Caiden, and the late Ingrid. Cherished great-grandfather of Caleb. Loving brother to Joe and wife Rosalie. Tony will be missed by his many sister & brother in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph (1991) & Barbara (1961) Matz. Cherished friend of Elaine Savoy, her children, Rene" (Mike), Lisa (Larry), and grandchildren, Kaitlyn, and Emily. A special thank you to Nick and Margaret for the help and support over the many years. The family would like to extend a thank you to the nurses and staff at the Berkshire Care Centre. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E, 519.253.7234 on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 3-5 to 7-9 pm. Parish Prayers at 4:00pm. Knights of Columbus Prayer Service at 7:30pm. Funeral Service Friday, April 28, 2017 9:45am from the funeral home then to St. Vincent de Paul Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30am.
