Obituary of Joseph Bencak

BENCAK, Joseph (Jo"ef) It is with immense sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Bencak on March 19th, 2017. He was celebrating his name day "St. Joseph", just a day before his 76th birthday. Joseph was dearly loved by his wife Hildegard Theresia (Terry) nee Zoller. He was cherished by his children Dr. Joseph Stephen Bencak Jr., John Iztok Bencak, and Dr. Michael Frank Bencak (Jennifer). Proudest Dedek to Michael Joseph, Nikolas Brian, and Stefan John. He was predeceased by his parents Janez Bencak (Terezija). Dear brother to Maria Stefanec (Jo"e); Stefan Bencak (Vida) and children Stefan, Nancy (Richard) and Robert; Jozica Norcic (Jo"e) and children Jasna (Ciril) and Suza; Helen Rossler, and children Erwin (Christine) and Christian; and the late Janez Bencak. He was predeceased by his in laws John Zoller (Theresia). Brother in law to the late John Zoller Jr. and surviving wife Linda and their children Ingrid Shaw (Robert) - Robert Jr.; Margareth Walz - Nicole (Josh) and Heather. Joseph worked for 30 years as a tool and die maker at Kelsey Hayes. He was very proud of his Slovenian Heritage, and enjoyed sharing many fond memories, and amazing trips with his family. Joseph was a true family man and enjoyed making memories to last a lifetime. He was devoted to his Catholic faith and also an avid gardener who transformed empty palettes in his garden into beautiful places to enjoy. He will be sadly missed by many family and friends in Canada, United States and Europe. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave, Windsor, ON 519.253.7234 on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 7:30 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mount Royal Dr), on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 9:30am., until time of Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
