Obituary of Laura Alice Marie Pattenaude

Pattenaude, Laura Alice Marie (nee Dionne)<br/>September 16, 1925 to September 23, 2020.<br/>Passed away peacefully in her 95th year. Beloved wife of Eugene (2020) for nearly 72 years. Cherished mother of Dan (Annette), David (Marsha), Vic (Kelly), and Roger (Bev). Grandmother to Steve, Eric (Madison), Sara (Josh), Michael, Amanda, Casey, Noah, Charles, and Kieran, and 5 great-grandchildren: Lyra, Kenley, Sandler, Cedric, and Gideon. Dear sister to Florence Deschamps (late Rosaire). Predeceased by siblings Sylvio, Anna Montcalm, Edgar (Eddie), Angela Lacasse, Yvette Noël, Émile, and Robert. She will also be missed by many nephews, nieces, and friends. Laura was a kind, gentle and caring soul. She will be remembered most for her steadfast support of her loving husband Eugene in their hardware store businesses. Laura and Eugene were the owners of Quincaillerie Pattenaude Pro Hardware in Pointe-Aux-Roches, and later of Tilbury Pro Hardware from 1961 until 1989. Thank you so much to all the caring staff of the Village at St Clair nursing home, especially Amanda, Roe, Laurelyn, Dominique, Anthony, Preveen, and roommate Kim in the Kingsville neighborhood. The honour guard, upon Mum's leaving the nursing home, was just wonderful. That was such a heartwarming gesture! The Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234, on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 1-5 p.m. Reservations are not required for visitation. Funeral Service to take place on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel followed by a Graveside Committal Service at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
