Obituary of Boulos Daher

DAHER, Boulos It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Boulos “Paul” Daher, born on October 10, 1937, in Serhel, Lebanon, and passing on September 22, 2020, at age 82. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Henriette. Boulos leaves behind his beloved children Anwar (Rachel), Teddy (Gabriella), Vicky (Eddie), and Jerry (Julijana). Cherished grandfather to Anthony, Christian, Zachary, Bianca, Joshua, Lucas, Benjamin, Zoey, Roman, and Ramses, and great-grandfather to Harper-Lily. Boulos was the youngest of seven brothers. Dear brother to Boutros (Koukeb). He is predeceased by his parents Sarkis and Wardeh and 5 brothers. Dear brother in-law to Wardeh, Marie Sleiman (Joseph) and Tony Daher (Paola). Boulos is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a community of devoted family and friends. Boulos was a devoted family man who could not sit still, spending his time in the garden, spoiling his grandchildren, going to church, and enjoying the company of family and friends as he told stories of his hometown. He appreciated old Western films, a good game of cards, cooking, and quiet time with a cup of coffee on the porch. Many thanks to the ER staff, ICU doctors, neurologists, nurses, floor managers, patient advocates, and support staff at Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus for the time, care, and compassion they showed to our father and us during this most difficult time. A special thank you to Abuna Tony for racing to the hospital without hesitation when every second counted. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 2pm - 6pm with Parish prayers at 5:30pm. <b> Reservations are not required to attend visitation. </b> A private family Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at St. Charbel Maronite Catholic Church followed by interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. <strong>PLEASE NOTE: MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME, CHURCH AND CEMETERY. </strong>As an expression of sympathy and to honour Boulos, memorial donations may be made directly to St.Charbel Maronite Catholic Church(5700 Outer Dr.,Windsor N9A 6J3).
