MION, Maria (nee Degan) Born April 24, 1921 in Pordenone, Italy. Passed away in Windsor Ontario January 3, 2017. Beloved wife of Marino (2005). Loving mother of Alfredo (Julianne Janisse) and Lisa (Lisetta) Mion. Cherished Nonna of Renata (John) Greaves, Vanda (Alan) Goyeau, Eric (Tracy), Glenn Campbell (Cheryl), Alan Campbell, April Campbell (Clint Baxter). Dear Great grandmother and Great-great grandmother to many. Dear sister of the late Gemma and Ida. Maria had many relatives in Pordenone , Italy. Many thanks to all the personnel at Lifetimes on Riverside for that "at home" touch, also to Met and Hotel Dieu Hospitals for all their care in the past month. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Saturday, January 7, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00p.m. with a service at 4:30 p.m. in our Chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windsor/Essex Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Society of Windsor.
