Obituary of Ana Frketic

FRKETIC, Ana (nee Lorkovic) It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother on January 1, 2017 at WRH-Ouellette Campus, at the age of 87 years. Reunited with her beloved husband Marko (1993). Loving and devoted mother to Barbara Fistrovic (John) and Angela Zivcic (Ivan). Predeceased by parents Mirko and Ana Lorkovic. Cherished "Baka" to Anita Yammine (Roy), Andrea Fistrovic, Veronica Cipparrone (Marcello), Valerie Zivcic and Erica Brajak (Danny). Precious "Bakica" to Vanessa, Neviana and Vivienne. Dear loving sister to Nevenka Pocrnic, and predeceased by siblings, Josip Lorkovich & surviving wife Kata, Maca Srakocic (Janko), Dragica Matuzic (Josip), Zorka Gorup (Janko), Katica Cvitkovic & surviving husband Pavao and Barka Barsic (Ivan). Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Croatia, and U.S.A. Ana was a devoted and retired employee of the GM Trim Plant with 25 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. A heartfelt thank you to Seasons Lakeshore Retirement Home for making mom"s last four years happy and memorable, and to Dr. Summerfield and staff at WRH-Ouellette Campus (8th Floor) for the compassionate care shown to Ana and her family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers at 8 pm. Funeral service on Thursday January 5, 2017 at 9:15 am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations honouring Ana"s life may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
