Obituary of Onorio D'Angela

D'ANGELA, Onorio<br/>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Onorio, a loving Husband, Father, Nonno and Bis-Nonno on September 15, 2020, at the age of 89. Reunited with his beloved wife, Angela (2018) with whom he celebrated 66 years of loving marriage. Loving and devoted Papa to, Laura Zambito and husband Gaspare, Mario D’Angela, Danny D’Angela and Kim Cartier, Gianni D’Angela and wife Denise, and predeceased by his baby infant son, Antonio (July 10,1956 - July 18,1956). Cherished Nonno of Steve Zambito (Debbie), Onorio Zambito (Jennifer), Susan Osbourne (Jeff), Daniel D’Angela (Sarah), Jason D’Angela (Brittany), Derek D’Angela (Brittany), Melissa D’Angela, Dayna D’Angela, Angeliea D’Angela, Peter D’Angela (Megan), Kristina D’Angela (Salvatore) and Alec D’Angela (Grace). Bis-Nonno to Alexis, Sophia, Isabella, Alivia, Julia, Ashton, Anthony and Oliver. Predeceased by Parents Giuseppe and Domenica D'Angela and in-laws Domenico and Concetta Molle. Dear brother to the late Gerarda Daltoria (Phil), Maria Delicata (Onorio), Alessio (Anna), Antoinetta Delicata (Giuseppe) and Rosa Fantetti (Frank). Dear brother in-law to Palmerino Molle and late wife Antoinetta. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Onorio was a proud member of the Ciociaro Club and its choir, Voce Ciociare. Onorio was retired from K+S Windsor Salt after 32 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed gardening, going for walks at Devonshire Mall, baking and cooking with his beloved wife, Angela, and making his homemade wine. Onorio's greatest pride and joy in his life was his loving family and ensuring that they were continuously looked after. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519-253-7234 on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 7-9pm and Friday, September 18, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A private Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at St. Angela Merici Church, followed by entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT VISITATION, FUNERAL MASS AND CEMETERY. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (633 Colborne St. Suite , London, Ontario N6A 2V3) or for Memorial Masses at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave, Windsor, ON N9A 1X9) in his memory.
