Obituary of Melvin Cyril Ouellette

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mel on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Norma (2005). Cherished father of Mark (Joyce) & Tim (Bev) Ouellette and Sue (Marc) Roy. Treasured P"p" of Cori, Niki, Jennifer, Christopher, Kyle (1994), Dallas, Chelsea, Phoenix and Carson. Proud great grandfather of Lucas, Lilyanna, Jonah, Sarah, Isabel, Chloe and Sebastian. Dear brother of the late Henry (Bernadette), late Omer (Shirley), late Leo (late Rose), late Albert, late Clarence (late Olive), late MaryElla (late Marcel), late Marguerite (late Jerry), late Doreen (late Herman), Lloyd (Mary Anne) and Milton (Evelyn). Brother in-law of late Wilbur (late Dorothy). Lifelong friend of Christine Calcutt. Uncle of Kathy Legree. God father of Lea-Ann McNorton. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Mel was happiest spending time with Family, being up at the Cottage and watching the Lions "Win". He was remembered by many for his 30 years of dedicated service at Chrysler Canada. A special thank you for the compassionate care of the medical personnel from Windsor Regional Hospital " Met Campus and especially to Marie Fortier for her dedication to Mel"s care throughout the years. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. As per Mel"s wishes Cremation to follow. Donations made in memory of Mel to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation, Hospice of Windsor or the Transition to Betterness are welcomed and appreciated by the family.
