Obituary of Harvey Cletus Hayes

Peacefully at home, on the farm that he loved for 80 years, with his loving family by his side on September 18, 2016. Born on February 14, 1936 to parents Roy (1981) and Lillian (nee Chittle, 1984) Hayes. Now reunited in heaven with his beloved, Marie Anne Hayes (nee Boudreau, 1993). Cherished father of Randy and Claire Hayes, Kathy and Kevin Kehoe and Tim and Annette Hayes. Missed by Arlene Condon, his loving partner of 20 years. Devoted Grandfather to Kyle (Monique), Joshua (Mindy), Brielle, and Jacob (Geralda) Hayes; Dylan, Lauren and Dustin Kehoe; Kristin, Jordan, Justin (Ann) and Kaleigh Hayes. Very proud Great Grandfather to Rayah, Hudson and Jace Hayes, with 2 more on their way. Loved dearly by sister Rita Mullins (Leo) and brothers William Hayes and Leo Hayes (Ann). Predeceased by sisters Kathleen (Norbert) Reaume, Patricia (Paul) Maitre, Ursula (Ray) Tracey and brothers John (Ella), Edward (Katherine), Bernard, and Leroy Hayes. Missed by sister and brother in laws Eileen Bourdeau, Claudia (Elmer) King, Rita (Pete) Walker, Lillian Boudreau and Jim Robinson. Predeceased by many other sister and brother in laws. Best friend of over 50 years to Dan Crump, his wife Ruth and Family. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the many caregivers from CCAC, Hospice, Amy"s Helping Hands and VON for all of the care and compassion shown to Harvey throughout the years. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 on Tuesday September 20, 2016 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers at 4:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at 10:15 am from the Funeral Home, then to St. Mary Church (Maidstone) for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery. In kindness, donations may be made in memory of Harvey to Hospice of Windsor- Essex County.
