Obituary of Sandor Orosz

OROSZ, Sandor February 17, 1935 " May 25, 2016 We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of our cherished and beloved "Tatika" Sandor Orosz who passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on May 25, 2016 at WRH, Met Campus. Reunited with his beloved wife Gizella (nee Urban) (2001). Dearly loved father of Erika Janosek, Liz Playtis and family, and Gizella Ellepola and family. Cherished grandfather of Juliana (Juliska) and Michael (Kis Mis), they were his pride and joy. Sibling of 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He will also be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in both Canada and Hungary. Sandor was born in Hajduboszormeny, Hungary to the late Imre (1974) and Margit (1979) and immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1952 and then to Windsor in 1970. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, Essex Engine Plant where he was known as the "Master Painter". Sandor was a very active and proud member of the Hungarian Community. He will be remembered not only for his countless hours volunteering but most notably for being the host and announcer of CHYR"s "Hungarian Serenade" Magyar Radio from 1979 " 1991. He was a member of Unifor 200, the Hungarian Cultural Centre and the Free-Reformed Hungarian Church. At Sandor"s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of your sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Hungarian Cultural Centre (790 Hanna St. E.) and would be greatly appreciated by the families.
