Obituary of Antonio Simiele

SIMIELE, Antonio Went to meet his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ peacefully on August 24, 2020, at the age of 85. Reunited with his cherished wife, the late Cristina (nee Fiorvento). Loving Dad of Pierina (Alberto), Angela Ciolli (Frank), Vittoria Simiele (Bill Khatib). Beloved Nonno of Rita Gidillini (Robert), John Ciolli, Michael Khatib, David Khatib, Tomasso Corvo, Onorina Corvo (Massimo), and Angelo Corvo. Great grandchildren Deanna Gidillini, Daniel Gidillini and Greta Osso. Dear son of the late Giovanni and Vittoria (nee Parente) Simiele. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Antonio was a kind and generous person. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable gardens and making red wine for his family. Antonio worked for 25 years at Chryslers before he retired. He was known as “L’engineer” to his co-workers and close friends. His grandchildren will always remember his pockets full of candies and the endless hours spent playing with Nonno. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road E, 519-253-7234, on Thursday, August 27, 2020, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Atonement, 2940 Forest Glade Dr., Windsor, on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Due to COVID-19, reservations are required to attend the funeral mass at the church. Please be mindful of restricted attendance and please wear a mask.
