Obituary of Mary Ann Lendvai

LENDVAI, Mary Ann (nee Horuczi) Mary passed away on Jan 4th, 2016 at the age of 100. Mary was born Jan 9, 1915 in Telepesh, Hungary. She arrived in Windsor at the age of 16 and married a year later. Mary moved to Campbell Ave. in 1938 and lived there for 68 years. Mary is predeceased by her 1st husband Kalman Szakonyi (1941) and her 2nd husband Steve Lendvai (1960). Daughter of the late Steve and Barbara Horuczi (nee Sp"k). Cherished mother of the late Olga Carter (2006), Mary Fox (Lloyd 2011), Edward Szakonyi (1983) & wife Pearl (Lee), Shirley Rumball (Garry) and Steve Lendvai & wife Ruth. Mary is predeceased by her sisters Pauline Kiss (1988), Barbara Oravecz (2006) & Steve (1957), Margaret Fedich (2013) & John (1989) and Betty Murphy (2008) & Tom (2005). Loving grandmother of Jeanne Caron (Paul), Sharon Carter (1985), Debbie LaPorte (Pat), Darlene Lachance (Guy), Brian Fox (Sandy), Brenda Kurpinski (Steve), Wendy McCallum (Rob), Janice Best (Dave), Wayne Rumball (Marianne), Pam Rumball (Clyde), Kim Lumley (Kevin), Steve Lendvai (Jean), Krissy Harris (Wayne) and Kerrie Riberdy (John). Mary is survived by 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren & one on the way. Dearest aunt of Laraine Trucevich (Ted) and Cheryl Amort (Joe). Many more nieces and nephews. At this time the family would like to thank Riverside Place Nursing home for all the love and special care that Mary was given. As per Mary"s wishes, cremation has taken place.
