Obituary of Ronald Charles Proulx

With profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ronald Proulx at the age of 84. Predeceased by his wives Cecile Proulx (2014) and Rose Marie Proulx (1984). Loving father of Michelle Miglietta (Jean-Yves), Curtis Proulx (2015), Caryn Proulx (Angelo Capalbo), and stepfather of Kevin Banwell (Martha). Father in law of Cathy De Hetre. Proud Grandpa of André Miglietta, Corey Proulx, Codey Proulx, John-Dillinger Redmile, Jake Redmile, Madison Banwell, and Rebecca Banwell. Survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. He retired from Chrysler Canada in 1994. During his retirement, he was proud to be recognized by Red Cross for 100 donations and was aiming for 150 before he had to stop due to medication. He was also recognized by the City of Windsor for his Christmas displays, that he happily worked on for many years. Ron was a loving and cheerful man who amassed many friends. Most notably his friends at Jake’s Joint and Purple’s. Huge Thank-You to WRH- Metropolitan Campus 6th North Medical Staff and in particular Gizella for her care and compassion, as well as the kind staff at Lifetimes on Riverside. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road E, 519-253-7234 on Tuesday August 25, 2020 from 10am-1pm. Funeral Service will be held at Heavenly Rest Cemetery immediately following visitation. Anyone wishing to attend the funeral service is requested to RSVP by contacting Windsor Chapel at 519-253-7234 between the hours of 830am and 4pm to secure a reservation. Please be mindful of restricted attendance and remember to PLEASE WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES. Donation may be made to the Downtown Mission or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
