Obituary of Robert Scussolin

SCUSSOLIN, Robert Roberto was a truly great man who passed away far too soon from a very brief fight with cancer, on August 20, 2020. Born November 9, 1958, Rob leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Janice (nee: Manarin), sons Michael (Shelby) and Steven (Jessica). Rob will be forever loved and remembered by his two wonderful grandchildren, Emma and Brody, whom he loved dearly. Cherished by his mother Tina (nee: Mignogno), brothers Paul (Fran), Endi, nieces Samantha and Rachel, nephews, Anthony and Tyler. Reunited with his father, Remo (2004). Loved by his Zio Giuseppe, as well as many cousins in Italy. Rob will be dearly missed by his walking companion, OB, who still wait at the door for him to return from work. Rob graduated from the U of Windsor with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a minor in communications. He was the dedicated manager of Programming and Community Relations for YourTV. Rob was a community champion and tireless supporter of local sports and community charities. He was a proud recipient of the Rotary Paul Harris Fellow award, and the Windsor-Essex Chamber Business Excellence Award. During Rob’s illustrious 38-year career, he has produced local telethons and fundraising events that have raised millions of dollars for our community. A special thank you to Rob’s care team at Windsor Regional Hospital for their compassion and care during his stay. Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234, on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. No reservation is necessary to attend visitation. A private family service to take place at a later date. <b>PLEASE NOTE: MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE FUNERAL HOME. </b> For those who wish, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by Rob’s family.
