Obituary of Felice Calamita

CALAMITA, Felice It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a loving and adoring husband, father, papa, and brother, on August 20th, 2020, at the age of 85. Beloved Husband and best friend of 62 years, to Caterina (nee Giannone). Loving and devoted Father to Achille (late Linda) Calamita (Valerie), Vincenzo Calamita (Dorie) and Joanna (Vito) Zuccaro. Cherished Papa to Richie, Joseph (Brooke), Felicia, Alyssa, Genna (Cory) and Jared (Victoria). Dear brother of Maria (late Nicola), Luca (late Lucia), Angelo (late Domenica), Emanuele (Maria), Vito, Antonietta (late Giovanni), late Michele (surviving spouse Angela), Rosa (Michele), and Damiana (Natalino). Predeceased by parents Achille and Giovanna Calamita, of Italy. Adored Zio and Great Zio to many nieces and nephews. Felice loved sharing his days with his wife, Caterina, his children, and especially his six grandchildren. He retired from FCA Windsor Assembly Plant and was a member of Unifor Local 444. Felice enjoyed his garden, bowling, cooking, working on cars, and taking vacations. We are grateful to Dr. Dale Ziter, the entire medical staff at the Ouellette campus, the staff at Hotel Dieu Healthcare, Meals on Wheels, the PSW workers, and all his loving and caring neighbours and friends. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road E, 519-253-7234, on Monday, August 24, 2020, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Due to COVID-19, a private funeral mass will be held. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Please be mindful of restricted attendance and please wear a mask.
