Obituary of Brian Hogan

HOGAN- Brian Thomas On December 14, surrounded by his family around his usual bedtime, Brian took his last walk down the fairway. He was born January 9, 1941 to Margaret and Tom Hogan. Loyal brother to Jim Hogan (Jaye) and uncle to Kevin, Sean, and Ryan. Pre-deceased by sister and brother " in-law Bev and Mike Schneider and uncle of Dr. Ken Schneider (who we owe special thanks to), Michelle Byrne and Keith (pre-deceased). On January 14, 1961, Brian married the love of his life Barbara (nee Parent) beginning their adventures together. Most devoted Dad of Colleen & Bob Mitchell, Craig & Julie Hogan, Christine & David Suzor, and Cathie Hogan and special friend Dean Sinasac. Inspirational, role model, and greatest fan to grandchildren, Stevin, Shaun and Reid; Shannon, Chloe, Cara Grace and Liam; Natalie and Brendan; Sophia, Sante & Teo and four great-grandchildren. Blessed with so many beautiful friends and neighbours here and in Florida. Brian worked his whole career, for 35 years, at Hiram Walker & Sons. Passionate about his community, he was a former President of United Way and the Red Cross Society; former board member of St. Clair College and Harmony In Action. Avid year round golfer and sports fan " he loved his Detroit Red Wings and Windsor Spitfires. Our sincerest thanks to all the Physicians and health care staff at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, ICU and Respiratory Department at Windsor Regional Hospital-Met Campus, and community health care staff; Brian"s care was outstanding. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Road E. on Wednesday December 16, 2015 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Prayers Wednesday at 4:00pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday December 17, 2015 at St John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe Street) from 10am until time of Brian's funeral mass at 11:00am. Cremation to follow.
