Obituary of Gaspare Landa

Gaspare Landa passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 87 on November 29, 2015. Born and raised in Partinico, Palermo, he immigrated to Windsor in 1957 to start a new life with his beloved wife, Giuseppina Landa (Marchese), to whom he was married for 58 years. Like many immigrants, he worked hard to provide opportunities for his family, and in doing so he opened and ran a successful shoe repair business, and later retired from Monarch Mattress. Adoring father to Rose Lesperance and husband Rob, Benny Carnevale and husband Angelo, Angela Dunn and husband Pat. He was, and always will be the proud nonno to nine grandchildren: Tyler, Jessica (Boris), Nathan, Austin, Jasmyne (Jeff), Ali (Darin), Christian (Emily), Zakari and Lyjah. Beloved son of the late Tomasso and Rosa Landa. Dear brother of Gioacchino (Giuseppina) Landa; late sister Angelina (Paolo) Antico. Brother-in-law of Enza Franzella and late husband Giuseppe; Catarina Bonura and late husband Pietro; late Maria and Pietro Foto; and Rosalia and late husband Pasquale.
