Obituary of Johann Schlichther aka Schlichtherle

SCHLICHTHER, John Peacefully at home on November 25,2015 at the age of 86yrs. Beloved husband of Gertrude (nee Both). Loving father of Irene Schlichther and John Schlichther (Lynda). Predeceased by his parents Eva and Christian Schlichther and son in-law of the late Anna and Michael Both. Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Mike), Jason (Karen), Lisa, Adam and Karl. Beloved great grandfather of Mikayla, Leland, Avery and Mason. Dear brother of Katie Grundner (John). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr.Schlichther was retired from Champion Spark Plug. He was a longtime member of the Teutonia Club, where he enjoyed playing shuffleboard and cards. He had great pride in having his own boat and fishing was his passion. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday December 5, 2015 at St. John Vianny Church (385 Dieppe Street) from 10:00 am until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 am with a procession to Heavenly Rest Cemetery to follow.
