Obituary of Mario Lorenzon

LORENZON, Mario Giuseppe Peacefully at the young age of 81, with his loving family at his side after a long, valiant and courageous battle with cancer. Born in 1934 in Chiarano Italy to Natale and Emilia Lorenzon, he immigrated to Canada in 1953. He married the love of his life, Virginia Kurcz (2007) in 1958. Proud father of Chris and wife Marjorie of Riverview, Michigan and Jason and wife Heather of Richfield, Ohio. Very proud grandfather of Mario Jr, Nicole, Kory, Victoria, Todd and Emily. Proud great grandfather to Avery, Nico and Sammy. Loving brother to Maria (John 2009) and the late Antonio and Anna Lorenzon. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy including Pia Lenarduzzi, Josef Persolja, Liviana Persolja, Ervino Lorenzon, George Lorenzon (Donna), and Jeff Kurcz. Mario was a successful businessman who was the proprietor of Schwab"s meats on Dominion Boulevard for many years during the late 1970"s and 1980"s. He was a member of the Caboto Club, a Fourth Degree member of the Knight of Columbus, Dean Wagner Assembly, Trevasani Nel Mondo and Veneto Nel Mondo. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME LTD. Funeral services on Friday November 13, 2015 at 10:15am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
