Obituary of Giorgio Artuzzi

ARTUZZI, Giorgio It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giorgio on September 30, 2015 at 79 years of age. Loving husband and best friend of Valli (Nee Bontorin) for 52 years. Cherished father of Lorenzo Artuzzi. Predeceased by his parents Luigi and Margherita. Dear brother of Antonio (Isabella), Gemma and Carla and brother in-law of Elio (Tosca) of Italy, Valerio Bontorin, and Ilario Bontorin (Gabriella) of Windsor. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends of Italy and Windsor. Giorgio will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and his sense of humour that will never be forgotten. The family would like to thank Dr. Bergeron, nurses and staff of Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus and Hospice, as well as the Canadian Cancer Society who provided transportation for Giorgio"s many cancer treatments. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East on Friday October 2, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In memory of Giorgio, donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor or to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation.
