Obituary of Opal Belawetz

BELAWETZ, Opal ( nee Melnik) Died peacefully on September 29, 2015 after a courageous battle. Beloved wife of Nick (2007). Survived by children William (Annette) and Lisa. Loving grandmother of Michael (Jenn), David, Matthew (Devon), Katie and Emily. Great grandmother of Alyssa. Dear sister of Pauline, Andrew and Paul (1993). Sister in-law of Bill & Ann Fisher. Born in Russia to immigrant parents Moisey and Darya Melnik, she came to Canada with her family for a better life. Opal worked for Bell Canada. At her request, there will be no funeral. Cremation has taken place. A special thank you to Dr. Sheehan and the wonderful nurses at the Dr. Y Emara Centre 3rd Floor South Palliative Care.
