Obituary of Rene Vachon

VACHON, Rene Mathew Passed away peacefully on September 7th, 2015 in Windsor, Ontario, at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Cecile Vachon (1969), and the late Alice Vachon (2014). Loving father of Marc (Karen), Pauline Murphy (Joe), Joe Langlois (Leah), Mary Laird, Denise Paulin (Yvon), Beth Langlois, Terri Marlovits, and Paul (Bobbie). Cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Survived by sister Anita. Predeceased by brothers Herman, Lionel, Rev. Father Victor, Rolland, and Aime. Predeceased by sisters Delisca, Emelia, and Theresa. Rene will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Rene is a retiree of Fords after 40 plus years of service. He is also a Veteran of World War II. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234. 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, September 10th, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers at 4:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join together on Friday, September 11th, 2015, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd.) for Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
