Obituary of Laura Mantovan

Mantovan, Laura On July 30, 2015 at the age of 53, Laura Maria Teresa Mantovan (nee Darisi) passed away peacefully at The Hospice of Windsor. She was surrounded by her loving family. The first daughter of Alfredo and Milena Darisi, Laura was born in Sault Ste. Marie on November 23, 1961. She grew up in Sarnia with her siblings Moreno, Jimmy, Brenda and Paul and always reminisced about her wonderful childhood. In 1978, Laura moved to Windsor for hairdressing school, shortly thereafter, meeting the love of her life, soulmate and husband of 32 years Marco Mantovan. Together they welcomed and raised two daughters Melissa (Jason) and Trisha (Derek) who grew into women she was extremely proud of. A loving wife, daughter and sister, a nurturing and caring mother, a wonderful and loved sister-in-law to Gail, Bonnie, Krista, Cristina, Luca, Bruno and Linda. Zia and great-zia to many nieces and nephews. Laura was a fun-loving, strong and outgoing woman. She loved to travel, garden, cook and entertain but her pride and joy was her family and she relished spending time with the people she loved. She lit up every room she walked into and touched the lives of everyone she met. To say she was an amazing woman would be an understatement. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
