Obituary of Tomo Bacic

BACIC, Tomo. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Tomo Bacic, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on July 12, 2015 at W.R.H., Met. Campus at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of 61 years to Tereza (nee Ivkovic). Loving father to Barbara Kasana of Windsor (late husband Josip), Kata Jurkovic of Colchester (late husband Veno), Bob Bacic and wife Monica of Chatham, Frank Bacic of Windsor, and Steve Bacic and wife Caroline of Vancouver. Cherished "Deda" of Kathy Kasana (Ogi), Frank Kasana, Christine Kasana-DeBruyn (Brent), Stanislav Jurkovic , Vjenceslav Jurkovic (Marina), (late Andrew Bacic), Joyce Bacic, Matthew Bacic, Justin Bacic, Emma Bacic, Steve Bacic Jr., and Lilly Bacic. Great-grandfather to (late Evaneja), Oktavijan, Henrik, and Dominik Jurkovic. Dear brother to the (late Ika Zurak) of Croatia, Ilija Bacic and wife Kata of Windsor, (late Manda Lepur) and surviving husband Ive of Croatia, Mile Bacic and wife Marija of Croatia, and (late Ivan Bacic) and surviving wife Jelka of Macomb, MI. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Croatia. Tomo was a retired employee of the City of Windsor after 27 years of dedicated service and was a faithful member and usher at St. Francis of Assisi Church. E. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Thursday at 8 p.m. Funeral services on Friday, July, 17, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
