TAPE, WILLIAM DONALD "BILL" We announce with broken hearts, the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on July 11, 2015 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus at the age of 79 years. Loving husband of Lee (Willa) (nee Sebastian). Cherished father to Kathy Thompson (Bill) and Carol Hrynyk (Dan). Devoted and adored "Gramps" to Danny (Mary Lou), Brian (Skye), Kevin, Nicholas, and Alexander. Great gramps, "Grumpy", to Jonah and Greyson. Dear brother to Alan (Vickie) Tape and children, Ken, Will and their families. Bill, who was affectionately known as "Sticky", was a retired Fire Chief from the Windsor Fire Department after 34 years of dedicated service. He was a member of The Masonic Lodge and a past president of the Windsor Optimist Club. Bill's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at WRH, Met. Campus, 5 North, Dr. Sorensen, Dr. Ghafoor and Dr. Hirmiz for their exceptional and compassionate care shown to Bill. Special thanks to Sue, Noah and Shelley of Hospice Home Care for their devotion to making Bill comfortable at home. Many thanks to Larry Skaleski for all the rides to the Cancer Centre, and to our neighbours, Sue and Mark, for being there for us at all times. Family and friends will be received at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (MAIN CHAPEL), 519-253-7234, 1700 TECUMSEH ROAD EAST on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Firefighter walk through will take place on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at All Saints Anglican Church (330 City Hall Square, Windsor) on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 10 a.m until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Rev. Canon Lance Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor-Essex County or Windsor-Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation.
