Obituary of Franco Antonio Tortola

Tortola, Franco Antonio "Frank" Born in Miranda, Iserinia, Italy January 7, 1927, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 2, 2015 at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus at the age of 88 years. Beloved and cherished husband of 64 years to Domenica (nee Tortola). Loving father of John Tortola (Antoinette), Frank Tortola (Mary) and Elisa Tortola. Dear son of the late Giovanni and Elisa Tortola .Loving Nonno of Christopher (Mary-Ann), John (Claudia), Michael (Natasha), Marc and Anthony. Dear Bis Nonno of Angelina, Antonio, Alessio, Elena, Gianluca and Gianfranco. Dear brother of Filomena DeBenedictis (late Michele) and Domenico Tortola (Assunta) of Italy. Frank is now in heaven with his son Frankie and his great grandson Franco. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Frank was retired from The Windsor Board of Education after 31 years of service as a Stationary Engineer. He also was a very talented mason. East on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday, May 6th, 2015 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
