Obituary of Simeon Giofu

GIOFU, Simeon "Sam" Passed away suddenly but peacefully on April 17, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of 60 years to Jean "Jennie" (nee Tataryn). Loving and devoted father to Michael Giofu (Lindy), Linda Andrews (Bruce), Larry Giofu (Wendy), Mark Giofu, Cathy Bulmer (Greg), and Greg Giofu (Antonietta). Cherished "Papa" to 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Mike, Alec, Rosemarie and Jeannie. Predeceased by siblings George, John, Constantine, Sagar, Dorothy, Georgina, Virginia, Helen and Margaret. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Simeon was a retired employee of General Motors after 39 years of dedicated service. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 519-253-7234, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Prayers Monday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Fr. Simion Catau officiating.
